We chose FlashStart because among many of the filtering providers it was the one that was most aligned with our values and transparent approach. Having researched different providers we were impressed by the range of services offered and the global reach of these. In particular, we saw that it worked with many schools and NGOs and so we knew it could support us despite some of the technological challenges with working in some of the countries where we operate.
We have received ongoing support both through the online chat and directly from members of the team who agreed to meet with our local staff and guide them in the process step by step. We are really grateful for the patience and availability demonstrated and the high level of professionalism at all moments. The team was able to simplify the process for our local team and help us to solve problems as they arose.
I installed FlashStart on all students’ computers and it has really improved their research experience. They can now identify reliable sources of information and they can use the laptops to go deeper and more flexibly in their inquiry. FlashStart has also helped me deal with virus threats because unsafe sites are now filtered. The installation process was straightforward and easy to follow and there is a record generated for each computer installed.

The Organization
Still I Rise is an independent international organization, created to provide education and protection for the vulnerable. Our Educational Model is unique and founded on values and the fundamental idea that every child should be understood, valued and supported to become the best version of themselves.
We currently have 5 operating projects.
Three are our EMERGENCY AND REHABILITATION SCHOOLS, known as Academies, in Syria, Yemen and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, where we offer a versatile curriculum, meeting basic needs such as nutrition, hygiene and child protection. We help to rehabilitate children from conditions including living in the streets, child labor, slavery, mines or refugee camps and our goal is to equip them with the knowledge, skills and values to rejoin the public education systems of their countries.
Our other two sites are our International Schools in Kenya and Colombia where we offer high quality education including the IB curriculum and a holistic, state-of-the-art school model to ensure long-term solutions for our students.
